Interactive Chef

Rocky Top Catering is looking for interactive chefs to work at UNC this football season. This is a seasonal position with potential to grow into a more permanent role. This is great for chefs looking for supplemental income and being a part of UNC Football game days.

We are looking for interactive chefs to work the 6 home game dates listed below. If you are interested in joining our team after you work that last game day, we can certainly discuss more permanent job opportunities us. If you are interested in working these dates and more from the jump, please apply to our other cook positions we have open.

This Role includes:

Kitchen Preparation & Production

• Follow prep lists accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
• Prepare food according to established recipes and company standards
• Label, stock, and organize ingredients to ensure accessibility and food safety
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitation, and trash removal
• Uphold all health, safety, and food-handling standards

Event Execution

• Ensures proper presentation, portion control & maintenance of serving temperatures during service at their station
• Properly cuts and serves the items at their interactive station
• Teams up with another interactive chef if applicable, to complete assigned tasks
• Work with FOH staff to maintain appropriate levels of food at the station throughout the game
• Creates a great guest experience at their station, providing the highest level of customer service
• Sets up their interactive station with the proper items, and cleans their station at the end of service

Team Communication

• Review each event menu with the FOH & BOH Event Manager prior to service
• Work collaboratively with FOH managers to stay on timeline, accommodate special requests, and adapt as needed
• Take direction professionally and contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment
