We are seeking a Therapist in Mental Health and Substance Use to join our team! You will provide person center services in individual, family, and group settings. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Programs and provides direct services that include intake assessments/individual/family/group therapy and crisis interventions to assigned clients.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client; completing treatment plans and session notes within our Electronic Health Records.
  • Performing individual and family therapy
  • Furnishing required reports to DHMH, legal system, and other involved agencies
  • Participating in after-hours call schedule for the clinic; providing complete and timely documentation to support services rendered
  • Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
  • Facilitating group
  • Recognizing, responding, and assisting in psychiatric crisis situations and providing the intervention necessary
  • Documenting the assessment of patient progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record on an ongoing basis
  • Communicating effectively with patient, staff, and physician
  • Providing patients with education and instruction on Advance Directives
  • Maintaining 60% direct service requirement
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Requirements:

  • Home and in-school visits may be required
  • Use of own vehicle for visits to clients’ homes and schools
  • Valid driver’s license

To the qualified candidate we offer:

  • Annual compensation negotiable, commensurate with experience
  • Supervision Hours towards clinical licensure; provided by an approved LCPC and/or LCSW-C
  • *Licensed Clinicians only* Must have LMSW, LGPC. LCPC, LCSW-C

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
