Lynd Management Group is seeking a detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to guide prospective residents through the affordable housing application and leasing process—from their first inquiry and property tour to qualification, approval, and move-in.

This position combines sales and customer service with affordable housing compliance and detailed documentation.

What You’ll Do
  • Respond promptly to telephone, email, internet, and in-person inquiries.
  • Explain the property’s income restrictions, rental criteria, and application requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct property and apartment tours.
  • Communicate the property’s features, amenities, and value.
  • Process applications, screening documents, leases, deposits, and move-in paperwork.
  • Collect required income, asset, household, and eligibility documentation.
  • Assist with initial certifications, recertifications, and required notices.
  • Maintain accurate applicant, resident, waiting list, and compliance records.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and help convert qualified applicants into residents.
  • Walk apartments before move-in to confirm they are ready.
  • Assist with preparing resident files for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Correct file deficiencies and provide requested documentation promptly.
  • Support marketing, outreach, resident retention, and lease-renewal activities.
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with LIHTC, HOME, HUD, Project-Based Section 8, or another affordable housing program.
  • Experience collecting eligibility documentation and maintaining resident files.
  • Ability to explain detailed application requirements clearly and respectfully.
  • Strong sales, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet compliance deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • RealPage OneSite experience preferred.
  • Ability to walk the property, conduct tours, and visually inspect apartments.
