Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)Position Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with complex medical, mental health, and behavioral health needs. Working under the direction of the nursing leadership team, the LVN delivers compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and facility standards.

Available Shifts
  • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (3 positions)

  • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (5 positions)

  • The first 2 weeks are training Monday - Friday 9-5pm

  • Shifts are alternating to meet staffing needs.

  • Able to start any day during the week.


Weekend Pay Rate: 42/hr
Traveller Pay Rate: 43 all days

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and ongoing nursing interventions.

  • Educate patients regarding medications and treatment plans as appropriate.

  • Accurately document all patient care activities within the electronic health record using Cerner.

  • Perform computer data entry and maintain complete, timely clinical documentation.

  • Monitor patients' physical and behavioral health, reporting significant changes to the supervising Registered Nurse or provider.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans.

  • Promote a safe, therapeutic environment while maintaining patient dignity and quality of care.

  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, infection prevention standards, and applicable regulatory requirements, including ICF/IID regulations and state healthcare standards.

  • Complete all required facility and state-mandated training.

Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.

  • Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience.

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals who have intellectual, developmental, medical, mental health, and behavioral health challenges.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within an electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Able to undergo and maintain a background check.
