Block Manufacturing Worker

Southwest Block is currently looking for self-starting individuals who promote a team atmosphere. This is a physically demanding job that consists of pushing, pulling and lighting concrete block with an average of 50 lbs.

Rate of Pay: $15-17 an hour

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50lb concrete blocks on a repetitive basis.
• Must be capable of performing job duties such as bending, squatting, stooping, sweeping, and shoveling.
• Ability to communicate both verbal & written and understand direction.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to climb conveyors and vertical ladders is needed. - Mechanical and repair knowledge helpful
• Two-handed dexterity needed for the use of tools and equipment.
• Ability and willingness to learn how to execute each operational function as needed; i.e. - cuber, forklift, etc.
• Ability to maintain and enforce a safe working environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Electrical, welding and fabricating background a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Forklift experience highly preferred

Schedule

• Monday thru Friday (both day and night shift available)
• Every other Saturday
