At Legacy Community Health, we invite you to join our family as a Bilingual School-Based Health Front Desk Clerk. In this heartwarming position, you'll be the friendly face and welcoming voice of our school-based health clinics, ensuring our young patients receive the care they deserve.

- Answer incoming calls from assigned phone lines and manage appointment requests.
- Review charts for HCN consent and SBH intake forms, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Contact parents to obtain verbal consent and guide them on necessary forms for new patients.
- Confirm appointments by reviewing demographics and obtaining health history.
- Schedule appointments with eligibility when there is a change in insurance.
- Scan SBH intake, HCN verbal consents, and insurance information into EPIC.
- Manage myChart access for parents, updating communication settings as needed.
- Flag billing for same-day appointments or registration errors.
- Confirm patient arrivals and follow up with school/parents if patients do not arrive.
- Contact parents for consent on same-day appointments referred by school nurses.
- Engage parents for upcoming birthday lists, weight, and asthma follow-ups.
- Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of school-based clinics.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and community health goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice.
- Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls at once.
- Efficient and accurate data-entry skills.
- Computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard experience. If no experience, the prospective receptionist must be able to learn it quickly.
- Basic knowledge such as basic math, alphabetical or numerical filing may also be required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
