In accordance with the President's vision, SQE mission and strategic plan, the Experienced Utility Pipe Layer for a given project assists the Utility Supervisor and crew to successfully complete utility installations. Other duties as assigned. This role requires 3+/- years of previous experience in storm sewer, sanitary and watermain construction. Reports directly to the Utility Supervisor.Specific QualificationsProven track record of consistent safe work practices including trench boxes, heavy structures, and other live utilitiesAbility to control grade and set pipe to proper elevationsHas completed safety training per Edgerton training curriculumAbility to lift 75 poundsAbility to take direction and work together as a crewAbility to read and interpret project plansResponsible for good communication with operator and crew to ensure quality installation of the pipesStrong attention to detail is requiredFamiliarity with potholing for existing utilitiesHas a good understanding of the process and tools needed for utility constructionEdgerton is an equal opportunity employer.
