Position Summary

Universal Education Companies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autistic Support Teacher K-2 to provide high-quality instruction and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate is student-centered, data-driven, and committed to fostering academic growth, social-emotional development, and positive school culture in an urban educational setting.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in an Autistic Support classroom
  • Modify and adapt general education curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
  • Implement research-based instructional strategies and interventions, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and social skills curricula
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable outcomes
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
  • Collect, analyze, and use data to monitor student growth and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Participate actively in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and facilitate annual IEP meetings
  • Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and student records

Requirement/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Experience teaching in an urban classroom setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success using data-driven instruction to achieve student growth
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
