Millwork Finisher

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Millwork Finisher responsible for preparing and finishing custom wood products, including cabinetry, panels, trim, and specialty millwork. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for color, consistency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply stains, paints, sealers, conversion varnish, and topcoats to wood products by spray, brush, or wipe methods.
• Sand and prep surfaces to ensure smooth, even finishes.
• Mix and match stains or finishes to meet design specifications or sample standards.
• Perform touch-ups, repairs, and adjustments on finished millwork.
• Inspect and maintain finishing equipment, including spray booths and guns.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the finishing area in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in wood finishing, preferably in a custom millwork or cabinet shop.
• Strong understanding of various finishing materials and application techniques.
• Ability to consistently match colors and maintain finish uniformity across large batches.
• Familiarity with spray systems and other finishing tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and finish large pieces of millwork.
• Commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience finishing woods and high-gloss surfaces.
• Ability to read shop drawings and finish schedules.
