JOB DESCRIPTION


Provides a variety of maintenance activities for the production area.

This position is a hands-on type role and will be responsible for completing tasks assigned by Facilities and maintenance manager.


Essential Functions

  • Under general direction, responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment and/or machinery, such as welding equipment, air compressors, HVAC systems, vacuum pumps
  • Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain
  • Troubleshoots and repairs and maintenance including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting tasks, etc.
  • Documents and completes records of repair, work orders, etc. in an accurate and timely manner
  • May be assigned wastewater duties, such as operating a chemical batch treatment system, completing daily wastewater operations logs and conducting sampling, maintaining chemical storage areas and inventories
  • Maintains a clean work area and general housekeeping standards, such as proper care for assigned tools
  • Understands and practices established safety and quality standard procedures
  • Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Proven working knowledge and experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems and welding systems
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, sketches
  • Basic math
  • Self - starter capable of effectively managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Overtime, weekend hours and split shifts, as needed

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Basic wiring skills, a plus
  • Electrical motor control experience, desired
  • Effective communication skills
