Contract Manager

Position Overview
The Contract Manager will serve as the primary management representative responsible for overseeing daily mail room, copy center, and warehouse logistics support services at the USGS EROS Facility. This position is responsible for managing contractor personnel, coordinating daily operations, maintaining service continuity, resolving operational issues, and ensuring all assigned services are performed in accordance with contract requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily work of contractor employees assigned to the contract.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational matters.
  • Act on behalf of the Contractor in matters related to daily work tasks.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives to resolve staffing, service, and operational issues.
  • Ensure mail room, copy center, and warehouse logistics support services are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Monitor daily performance to support uninterrupted services during normal operating hours.
  • Coordinate staffing coverage to ensure sufficient personnel are available to perform required services.
  • Support personnel changes, replacements, and continuity planning as needed.
  • Communicate operational updates, concerns, and corrective actions to contractor staff and Government representatives.
  • Support implementation of quality control procedures to identify, prevent, and correct service issues.
  • Ensure contractor personnel follow applicable facility access, safety, training, security, and Government property requirements.
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-focused work environment.
  • Support transition activities to maintain continuity of services at contract start, contract completion, or staff changes.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience managing onsite service operations, administrative support services, logistics support, mail room operations, copy center services, warehouse support, or similar contract support functions.
  • Experience supervising, leading, or coordinating contractor personnel.
  • Experience serving as a primary point of contact for customers, clients, or Government representatives.
  • Experience managing daily operations, staffing coverage, service quality, and issue resolution.
  • Experience maintaining professionalism in an onsite customer or Government facility environment.
  • Experience supporting Federal contracts or Government facility operations is preferred.
  • Experience with quality control, corrective action, service tracking, and contract compliance is preferred.

Certification

  • No specific professional certification is required for the Contract Manager.
  • Required Government facility, security, access, and computer-based training must be completed as applicable.

Clearance/Security

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required facility access credentials.
  • Must be able to meet applicable background screening and suitability requirements.
  • Must comply with all facility access, security, credentialing, and training requirements.
  • Must safeguard Government property, credentials, keys, access cards, documents, equipment, and materials.
  • Must be available during normal work hours to meet with Government representatives and resolve operational matters.
