Job Description

Accounting Manager

Role Summary

The Accounting Manager will serve as a key partner and right hand to the Divisional Controller, supporting accounting operations, monthly reporting, finance transformation, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Based in our Denver headquarters, this role provides broad exposure across accounting, finance, and business operations while partnering closely with shared services, FP&A, tax, treasury, and operational teams. You'll help scale the finance organization through process improvements, ERP implementation, business integrations, and new market expansion while supporting the accounting operations of a global business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience beyond traditional month-end accounting and take on increasing responsibility in a collaborative, evolving environment.

What You'll Do

Accounting Operations

· Support the month-end close process across multiple legal entities and currencies.

· Prepare, review, and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, clearing accounts, intercompany balances, and key accounting estimates.

· Support consolidated financial reporting and integration into the parent company reporting structure.

· Ensure timely, accurate, and well-supported financial reporting.

Cross-Functional Finance Operations

· Coordinate accounting activities across shared services and internal finance teams to keep close activities, reporting, and operational priorities on track.

· Partner with FP&A, treasury, tax, and operations to resolve accounting questions, support new initiatives, and improve financial processes.

· Support cash management activities, including payment processing, cash visibility, and working capital planning.

· Act as a trusted business partner by identifying issues, driving follow-up, and helping teams work effectively across functions.

Finance Transformation & Growth

· Play an active role in ERP implementation and other finance system enhancement projects.

· Support business integration activities and process development for new market launches.

· Support audit, tax, statutory, and regulatory requests by gathering information, preparing analyses, and coordinating with internal teams and external advisors.

· Roll up your sleeves to solve accounting and operational challenges, improve processes, and support special projects as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

Required

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· 5–8 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry.

· Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.

· Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Preferred

· CPA (or pursuing CPA), ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

· Experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment.

· Exposure to multi-currency accounting, consolidations, or supporting a global business is a plus, but not required.

· Experience supporting audits or working with external advisors.

· Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.

· Experience participating in ERP implementations, finance transformation, or process improvement initiatives.

· Experience in hospitality, travel, technology, marketplace, or other operationally complex businesses.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, takes ownership, and wants to grow alongside the business.

The ideal candidate:

· Takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and thrives in a hands-on environment.

· Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

· Enjoys solving problems and continuously improving processes.

· Builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively across teams.

· Is comfortable navigating ambiguity as the business evolves.

· Wants exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance activities while helping build a scalable finance organization.
