PAINTER
Monday - Friday
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$18.50 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Use paint application techniques and equipment to professionally finish interior and exterior surfaces using a paint gun and brushes
- Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project per a shop order.
- Identifies appropriate paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed.
- Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, grit blast, or other methods.
- Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects parts and other nonpainted surfaces.
- Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools.
- May apply specialty finishes and glazes.
- Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Maintains paperwork detailing material and labor time and costs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Continues to expand the capabilities of the paint department to meet the needs of the company.
- Maintain operations per current EPA, OSHA and NESHAP Regulations.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some painting experience.
- 5 years aircraft experience preferred.
