About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Network & Provider Relations Specialist to support our Provider Relations team at Astrana Health. This role reports to the Network & Provider Relations Manager and is responsible for supporting provider engagement, onboarding, network growth, contracting coordination, provider education, and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, highly organized, and passionate about improving the provider experience. This individual will serve as a key liaison between Astrana Health and our provider partners, helping strengthen provider relationships, support network expansion initiatives, and contribute to the success of our value-based care model.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned providers and provider groups, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional support.
  • Conduct provider visits, onboarding sessions, and educational meetings to ensure providers understand organizational processes, payer requirements, and operational updates.
  • Respond to provider inquiries and coordinate issue resolution related to claims, authorizations, credentialing, contracting, and operational concerns.
  • Support provider recruitment, onboarding, retention, and network expansion initiatives to improve access, geographic coverage, and specialty representation.
  • Assist with provider contracting activities, including contract processing, amendments, renewals, and provider record maintenance.
  • Support network adequacy monitoring and ensure compliance with health plan, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Analyze provider feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that enhance provider satisfaction and network performance.
  • Develop reports and maintain documentation related to provider activity, provider issues, recruitment efforts, and network development projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Contracting, Credentialing, Operations, Compliance, and other internal teams to support provider success and operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in provider meetings, educational events, community outreach activities, and special projects as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in provider relations, network management, healthcare operations, managed care, or a related healthcare environment.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with health plans, IPAs, ACOs, MSOs, or value-based care organizations.
  • Knowledge of provider contracting, credentialing, provider onboarding, network adequacy, and managed care operations.
  • Experience supporting provider recruitment, provider engagement, or network development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, provider databases, CRM platforms, or network management tools.
  • Experience analyzing provider data and preparing operational or performance reports.
