The Beautiful Hudson Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing facility located in Westchester County seeks a Perdiem Dietary Aide to join our team. If you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic team, we would love to meet you!

Perdiem shift 11:30am-7:30pm

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation, service, and delivery of meals and snacks to residents in a nursing home or long-term care facility. This role helps ensure that residents receive nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and portion food items according to menus and therapeutic diet plans.

  • Set up meal trays and ensure correct meals are delivered to residents.

  • Serve meals and beverages in dining rooms and resident units.

  • Assist residents during mealtimes as directed by nursing staff.

  • Follow special diet instructions, including texture-modified diets and food allergies.

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, dining areas, and food carts.

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using approved sanitation procedures.

  • Stock food, supplies, and beverages as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility food safety regulations.

  • Monitor food temperatures and document as required.

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.

  • Attend required staff meetings and training programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous food service or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
