The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical structure and all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure safe, efficient, and comfortable guest and team member experiences. This position requires hands-on repairs, routine inspections, and proactive maintenance throughout the property.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

  • Complete maintenance requests (work orders) promptly and accurately.

  • Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry issues.

  • Assist with HVAC system checks, filter replacements, and basic adjustments.

  • Maintain and repair fixtures, furniture, and equipment throughout the property.

  • Ensure the property complies with all safety, fire, and health regulations.

  • Respond quickly to guest and staff maintenance calls with a courteous and professional attitude.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and storage areas.

  • Assist with seasonal projects, such as painting and pool maintenance.

  • Report major maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to the GM


Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a hotel or commercial building.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as needed.

  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders, and exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions. The Maintenance Worker may handle chemicals and use power tools safely in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
