Central H Teacher
Job Description
WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Teacher for our Central H classroom. This position is a 40 hours per week, 9 months a year.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potential byutilizing the latest curriculum.
2. Making weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, andprovision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services PerformanceStandards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services. This includes expectations to transport families to appointments, report difficulties to supervisors in writing, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
Requirements include:
MUSTbe able to pass drug screen and background check.
Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED.MUSThave anAA degree inEarly Childhood EducationORvalid CDA AND be enrolled in a program that grants aqualifying associate or higher degree in Early Childhood Education/related field, andthe required coursework and experience, to be completed within three years.
Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First-Aidmust be maintained.
Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle
during working hours preferred. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into
program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
