Assistant Director of Operations

Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Operations (ADO) assists with the growth, development and administration of the Community LIFE program, while supporting operational departments of the organization through delivery of high-quality participant services within a culture of responsibility and accountability, in the most efficient and effective manner, embodying the spirit of the PACE model of care. The ADO works with the Director of Operations to integrate non-clinical Community LIFE Center operations with clinical services to provide high-quality care coordination for the frail elderly within regulatory requirements. The ADO provides strategic and operational leadership across Community LIFE centers, integrating center operations to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient participant care. This role partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to align interdisciplinary services, optimize workflows, and implement best practices that support the PACE model.

Location: Position is based in Forest Hills, PA with extensive local travel throughout Community LIFE service area (mileage reimbursed). See listing of all locations here

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, public health, business administration or other relevant discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Experience: Minimum of seven years’ experience in health care setting, preferably as an effective team member in a Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model. Minimum of five years of supervisory experience is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders as well as the ability to manage people, processes, and equipment in multiple locations in a highly regulated health care environment.
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills include the ability to interpret regulations, write plans and track progress.
• Knowledge of needs of elderly population in various disciplines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of utilization review, quality assurance, and managed health care concepts.
• Working knowledge of local health care and geriatric service networks.
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge and ability to successfully run the operations for the PACE program at Community LIFE
• Ability to be dependable, resourceful, and flexible.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, participants, providers, and referral sources.
• Interest in geriatrics and community-based programming.
• Ability to appreciate and enjoy working with elderly individuals.
