About the Role
A leading airline catering and food service provider is hiring experienced Line Cooks to support high-volume meal production for airline customers. This role is responsible for preparing food according to established recipes, customer specifications, and food safety standards in a fast-paced production kitchen.
The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, experience following recipes, and a solid understanding of food safety and HACCP procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare food according to established recipes and customer specifications
Follow HACCP and food safety regulations during all food preparation
Use proper temperature control, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures
Perform prep work including cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
Use commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Stay organized and adjust quickly to changing production priorities
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
At least 2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred
Experience in institutional catering, airline catering, hotel, restaurant, or large-scale food production preferred
Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred, but not required
Strong knife skills required
Ability to follow recipes and understand various cooking techniques
Strong understanding of food safety and HACCP regulations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts of 8+ hours
Must be able to lift and push 50+ pounds
Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle food, tools, and equipment
May be exposed to extreme temperature changes, hot surfaces, and noise
Schedule Requirements
Full-time schedule
Must be able to work assigned schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Overtime may be required based on business needs
Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Must follow all workplace safety, sanitation, and PPE requirements
