Job Overview:
AIMS is seeking skilled Pharmacy Technicians to join our team and provide high-quality pharmacy services at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Fort Sam Houston, TX. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in inpatient, outpatient, and oncology pharmacy settings, ensuring adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.

Responsibilities:


Inpatient Pharmacy Technician Duties:

• Prepare sterile products and perform pharmaceutical calculations for various preparations.
• Adhere strictly to sterile procedures and maintain equipment.
• Prepare and fill physician orders for IV solutions, parenteral, and inpatient unit dose orders.
• Perform maintenance on equipment to ensure sterility of IV products.
• Participate in quality assurance data collection and review.

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Minimum one (1) year of experience within the last five (5) years as an inpatient, outpatient, or oncology pharmacy technician.
• Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a similar program, including military training programs.
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT), or CHPhT.
• Compliance with applicable state laws concerning the profession.
