POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Distribution Specialist supports the company’s remote cardiac monitoring operations by ensuring the efficient handling, preparation, and distribution of medical monitoring equipment. This specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of device inventory, including unpacking, cleaning, testing, and refurbishing returned equipment, as well as preparing and shipping devices to customers via carriers such as UPS and USPS. The Product Distribution Specialist is critical to supporting RhythMedix’s mission of delivering timely, reliable cardiac monitoring solutions by ensuring equipment readiness and operational efficiency across the distribution process.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Unpack, sort, and clean monitoring equipment, using both hands and available tools
  • Thoroughly check monitoring equipment, using magnifying equipment, if needed
  • Test equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition by holding equipment and testing with a meter
  • Prepare devices and equipment for receiving and shipping by placing items in boxes, taping boxes using handgun taper, lifting boxes and placing them on carts
  • Pack equipment for shipment to customers via UPS and USPS as described above
  • Demonstrate proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Provide customer service support as needed, including responding to emails and occasionally contacting patients by phone
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPENTENCIES:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with PCs
  • Able to remain on your feet and utilize your hands for an extensive period of time
  • Proficient in inspecting, testing, and cleaning returned equipment during the refurbishment process
  • Able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of working on-site Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
  • Extremely attentive to detail

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Hours may vary based on business needs and may include overtime
  • Flexibility in work hours is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, most frequently 10-25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for 2/3 or more of the workday
  • Pushing/pulling required when moving carts, approximately 1/3 – 2/3 of the workday
  • Frequently walk short distances, occurring 1/3 – 2/3 of the workday
  • Occasional keyboard use, up to 1/3 of the workday
  • Repetitive hand usage via gripping and rotating wrists and fine manipulation of fingers for assembly/disassembly and cleaning devices, approximately 1/3 – 2/3 of the workday
  • Reaching for items on shelves that are 4-6 feet high, on occasion up to 1/3 of the workday
  • Ability to handle rubbing alcohol to clean returned equipment
