Commercial Glass Installer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial glass products. This role requires a strong understanding of various installation techniques, as well as proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Glass Installer will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Candidates without 5 years of commercial glazing experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install commercial glazing systems such as storefront, curtainwall, punched openings, and re-glazed windows.
• Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning and caulking, as necessary.
• Assemble frames and install glass panels securely.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on glass options.
• Perform routine maintenance on installed glass products to ensure longevity and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial glazing is mandatory (5+ years)
• Proficiency in caulking techniques to ensure proper sealing of installations.
• Ability to build custom frames or supports as needed for specific projects using hand tools or power tools.
• Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus.
