Trellis is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful employment. We are seeking a Senior Employment Specialist (ES III) to join our Employment Services team in Portland.
Position Overview
The Senior Employment Specialist plays a key role in helping individuals secure and maintain competitive integrated employment. In addition to managing a caseload of 8 - 12 clients, this position involves building strong employer partnerships, representing Trellis in the community, and mentoring other Employment Specialists.
This is an advanced-level role for an experienced employment professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the growth of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full employment development caseload with a focus on high-quality job placements
- Conduct proactive employer outreach and develop lasting business relationships
- Mentor and support Employment Specialists by sharing strategies and best practices
- Build partnerships with Vocational Rehabilitation, schools, and community organizations
- Represent Trellis at networking events, job fairs, and workforce initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with funding requirements
