Direct Care Supervisor
Job Description
Duties include scheduling caregivers and ensuring client needs are met while meeting utilization, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals. This position must also have a willingness to step in and provide hands on care and act as a Direct Care Worker / Home Health Aide to assist the participants with disabilities in the assigned area.
Additional duties for the Supervisor role include: maintaining electronic client records, recruitment and interviewing, coaching of caregiver staff, answers phone inquiries, and conducts performance evaluations. Participation in an on-call backup rotation is required.
The weekly hours are up to 28 hours per week. A priority for the the HCS Supervisor is to help grow the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities client program.
Supervisor Requirements:
· High School Diploma/GED and 5 years caregiver experience with individuals with disabilities - OR
- Associate Degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, etc. and 1 year experience working with people with disabilities - OR
- Bachelor Degree and 1 year experience working with people with disabilities.
· Valid driver’s license/auto insurance and ability to travel utilizing personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available).
· Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 as well as FBI clearances.
- Prior Supervisory experience preferred, but not required
