At MVS Metals, our Material Handlers are the backbone of our production floor — keeping machines loaded, materials moving, and operations running on schedule. We're hiring a Material Handler / Parts Cleaner for our 1st shift team in Sioux City. This is a hands-on, active role with a consistent 4-day work week and every Friday off.

No experience required — just a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

The Details

• Starting pay: $18.00–$19.00/hr
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Schedule: 4-day work week — Fridays always off
• Home by early afternoon every day

What You'll Do

• Assist machine operators with loading and unloading machines and materials to maximize production time
• Move materials to assigned locations and orders according to paperwork and job requirements
• Perform grinding and assist with parts inspection to ensure quality standards are met
• Handle assigned paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Operate a forklift safely to move material throughout the facility
• Assist with routine and preventive maintenance of machines
• Comply with all OSHA, ISO, and company health and safety requirements
• Support Continuous Improvement Programs and other company initiatives
• Promote strong team spirit within and across departments
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality — your team counts on you

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn on the job
• Ability to follow instructions and handle paperwork accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Forklift experience is a plus — certification or willingness to obtain required
• Comfortable with physically demanding work — lifting, standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift
• Safety-focused with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work independently and support the team when needed
• Committed to on-time delivery for both internal and external customers
