What You'll Do

As a Home Health Aide, you'll work directly with clients in their homes and provide the support they need to remain safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

• Helping with activities of daily living

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Preparing light meals

• Light housekeeping and laundry

• Providing medication reminders

• Assisting with mobility when needed

• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition

What You Need

YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT NEW YORK STATE HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) CERTIFICATE TO APPLY.

Qualified applicants should also have:

• At least one year of caregiving experience

• Current physical examination

• Current PPD or QuantiFERON documentation, or applicable chest X-ray documentation

• MMR documentation

• Authorization to work in the United States

• Dependable and professional communication

• A compassionate approach to client care

Drivers and Non-Drivers Are Welcome

Drivers are strongly encouraged to apply because transportation may open the door to additional cases throughout Nassau County.

However, having a driver's license or vehicle is NOT a requirement for employment.
