About the Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads housekeeping operations while housekeeping manager is scheduled off, to ensure clean, safe, and welcoming guestrooms and public spaces. This role drives quality standards, team performance, inventory control, and guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in leading daily housekeeping operations for guestrooms, public areas, and laundry (if applicable).

  • Ensure brand cleanliness and presentation standards are met consistently.

  • Conduct room and public area inspections.

  • Assist in managing housekeeping labor, productivity, and staffing to meet occupancy needs.

  • Partner with front office and maintenance to support timely room turns and out-of-order room recovery.

  • Monitor guest feedback and support action plans to improve cleanliness scores.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and chemical handling standards.

  • Able to preform all duties of a Room attendant, laundry attendant, and Public attendant when needed.

  • Maintain housekeeping logs, checklists, and department documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of housekeeping experience; leadership experience preferred.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control.

  • Ability to manage labor, productivity, and daily staffing needs.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional communication and guest service mindset.

  • Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused.

Availability

  • Scheduling may include weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, push carts, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hotel environment with moderate physical activity and variable pace based on occupancy.
