Controls Solutions Specialist II

Position Summary

The Controls Solutions Specialist II provides technical support for lighting control projects and independently manages small to mid-size projects. This role serves as a key resource to sales teams and customers by delivering accurate designs, quotations, and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support sales teams with lighting controls design and application recommendations.
• Independently review project plans and specifications.
• Develop control system layouts, riser diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Prepare accurate quotations, budgets, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate directly with manufacturers on technical and product requirements.
• Review and process submittals and shop drawings.
• Troubleshoot controls issues remotely and coordinate support as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate project documentation.
• Stay current on products, systems, and energy code requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of lighting controls and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications independently.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
