Are you a mission-driven leader passionate about serving vulnerable communities? We are seeking an experienced Program Director to oversee and expand community-based outreach, harm reduction, and recovery support initiatives throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
This leadership role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience managing outreach and behavioral health programs, supervising multidisciplinary teams, and building strong partnerships across healthcare, social services, and government agencies.
Position Overview
Position: Program Director – Street Outreach & Harm Reduction
Location: New York, NY (Programs operate throughout all 5 NYC boroughs)
Salary: $110,000–$120,000 annually
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
Employment Type: Full-Time
Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years of program management experience in one or more of the following:
Street Outreach
Homeless Services
Harm Reduction
Behavioral Health
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Programs
Recovery Support Services
Community-Based Outreach
Community Case Management
Minimum 3 years of experience supervising multidisciplinary outreach teams

Demonstrated experience with:
Overdose Prevention Programs
Community Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
Government-Funded Programs and Grants
Program Metrics, Data Collection, and Outcome Reporting
Experience working with Certified Peer Advocates
Strong knowledge of coordinating services across healthcare and social service systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
