Hiring: Commercial Service Truck Technician - Custom Truck Accessories
- Hourly Pay Range: $22.00hr - $35.00hr

OVERVIEW:
We are currently recruiting for our growing client company in Elwood, IN. We are seeking skilled, hands-on Commercial Service Truck Technicians to join a fast-growing vehicle upfitting and equipment installation team. This is a high-growth environment offering long-term stability, internal advancement, and performance-based pay progression. Candidates should take pride in quality workmanship, have strong mechanical aptitude, and be comfortable working in a production-style shop environment focused on efficiency, accuracy, and safety, with a focus on installing Custom Truck Upfitting and Accessories.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform vehicle upfitting, installation, and modification of truck bodies and equipment
- Install, remove, and assemble mechanical and electrical components on vehicles
- Interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and basic technical specifications
- Assist with or independently complete builds depending on skill level
- Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Support production goals by completing work within defined timelines
- Operate forklifts or material handling equipment (as needed / if certified)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have own tools (required for all levels)
- Understanding of 12v automotive electrical schematics, design and layout
- Mechanical aptitude and general automotive/truck knowledge
- Ability to read and follow instructions and technical documentation
- Experience with wiring and electrical systems preferred (varies by level)
- Welding experience is a plus (not required)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibility
- Basic mechanical or automotive experience required; ability to assist with installs, builds, and production support tasks
- Understanding of wiring, electrical systems, and vehicle upfitting concepts (or willingness to learn and develop)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a structured production environment
- Progressive skill level preferred: capable of advancing from entry-level support to independent installation, troubleshooting, and lead-level work over time
NOTE - Pay Rate Qualifications:
- Pay Rates are directly correlated to experience and broken down into Tech-1, Tech-2 and Tech-3 departments. Depending on skill-sets and experience, during the interview process, the level of expertise will then be determined.
