Position - Stockroom Associate

Location - Schaumburg IL


Job Summary:


The Stockroom Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory and managing the stockroom of a dynamic parts and equipment manufacturing facility specializing in electrical, assembly, machined parts, hydraulics, and valves. With over 4,000 SKUs, this role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in organization, inventory management, and accuracy to support efficient operations and timely production.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

o Receive, label, and organize incoming parts and components in the stockroom.

o Ensure accurate counts, tracking, and record-keeping of stock levels for over 4,000 SKUs, updating inventory management systems as needed.

o Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies and reporting shortages.

2. Order Fulfillment and Stock Replenishment

o Pick, pack, and deliver parts and components to production and assembly teams based on order requirements.

o Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to reorder parts and supplies as needed to avoid production delays.

o Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring the accuracy of items and quantities.

3. Data Entry and Record-Keeping

o Update inventory records in the company’s ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting of stock levels.

o Maintain files, logs, and related documentation as required by company policies and regulatory standards.

4. Collaboration and Communication

o Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize production downtime.

o Communicate effectively with all departments to provide updates on stock levels, order status, and any issues affecting production.


Qualifications:


· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or coursework in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics is preferred.

· Experience: 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or stockroom environments, ideally in parts or equipment manufacturing.


Skills:

o Proficiency with inventory management software (ERP experience a plus).

o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and data entry.

o Ability to lift and move parts and materials up to [weight requirement, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed.

o Good organizational, time management, and communication skills.


Knowledge:

o Familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, machined parts, valves, and related equipment.

o Basic understanding of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
