Cath Lab RN

Contract

In-Office | Rochester, NY, United States

  • 36 hours preferred, 4x10s or 3x12s, 7 am – 5:30 pm, 7 am – 7:30 pm

  • 2 years of Cath Lab experience

  • Moderate Sedation trained

  • Dysrhythmia experience

  • Critical Care or Cardiac experience required

  • BLS and ACLS required


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia and perioperative care to patients during cath lab procedures.

  • Monitor hemodynamics and patient status, recognizing and escalating complications promptly.

  • Assist physicians with cath lab interventions, equipment setup, and sterile technique.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and patient outcomes in charts.

  • Maintain infection control and sterile processing standards across all procedures.

  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development; pursue certifications and upskill to advance role.

  • Participate in team huddles, performance reviews, and KPI tracking to optimize outcomes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to meet targets and maintain high visibility of work.

  • Assist with pipeline management by tracking case availability and readiness for cath lab slots.

  • Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and recovery expectations.

  • Adhere to contract terms, on-site duties, and location-specific policies and schedules.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current license and cath lab experience.

  • Post-anesthesia and perioperative care for cath lab procedures.

  • Hemodynamic monitoring and rapid escalation of complications.

  • Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique.

  • Accurate documentation of procedures, medications, and outcomes.

  • Infection control and sterile processing compliance.

  • Pursue certifications (e.g., CRN, RCIS) and ongoing upskilling.

  • Participation in team huddles, performance reviews, and KPI tracking.

  • Cross-functional collaboration to meet targets and maintain high visibility.

  • Pipeline management for cath lab case availability and readiness.
