EVS/ Housekeeping Aide

Wyoming Valley Behavioral Health is seeking responsible, healthcare-oriented people to perform cleaning in a local mental health facility.

**Schedule: Full Time with rotating weekends. 1st shift.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, floors, including hallways, lobbies, and stairwells
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor

- Assist with special cleaning and minor maintenance projects

Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred but not required

- Stripping, buffing and waxing floors experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Note: Experience with buffing or industrial cleaning may be beneficial but is not required for this specific position.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.50 per hour
