REPORTS TO: Director of Operations, The Bloom Closet
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising associates; experience working with volunteers preferred
Familiarity with warehouse management systems
Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Georgia Drivers License, a clean driving record, and willingness to operate Bloom vehicles
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, remain on feet for extended periods, and work in a non-climate controlled environment
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Coordinator leads day-to-day operations at The Bloom Closet Warehouse, serving as the operational hub that keeps all three Bloom Closet sites running smoothly. This role is responsible for managing the flow of donated inventory from intake and sorting to restock, changeover, and transportation between sites ensuring that The Closet and The Hive always have what they need to serve foster children and families.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage both the physical demands of warehouse operations and the people side of the work. The Warehouse Coordinator will lead a team of associates and volunteers, creating a culture of efficiency, accountability, and care that reflects Blooms mission in every aspect of the warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally strong, and naturally relational someone who takes pride in running a tight operation while also investing in the people around them.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Operations
Oversees daily operations of The Bloom Closet Warehouse, maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient working environment
Manages the intake, sorting, and quality control of donated inventory in accordance with Blooms donation standards
Coordinates inventory changeover and ensures merchandise is properly prepared and staged for distribution to site locations
Operates and maintains Bloom vehicles in accordance with organizational policy, including scheduled runs between sites
Ensures compliance with OSHA safety guidelines and maintains a culture of safety across all warehouse activities
Identifies and communicates facility or equipment needs to the Director of Operations
Team & Volunteer Leadership
Leads and supports warehouse associates and volunteers in executing daily operational plans
Maintains a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassion that reflects Blooms mission
Communicates regularly with the Director of Operations to ensure consistency in policies, procedures, and organizational culture
Inventory & Logistics
Manages inventory levels across all Bloom sites, coordinating restock and changeover to ensure each location has adequate supply
Maintains full knowledge and use of inventory management systems and communicates inventory shortages to the Director of Operations
Plans and executes transportation runs between The Warehouse, The Closet, and The Hive Donation Center on a regular and as-needed basis
Ensures donated inventory is sorted, categorized, and stored in a manner that supports efficient retrieval and distribution
Communicates with site leadership to anticipate inventory needs and prioritize accordingly
Reporting & Administration
Tracks inventory levels and warehouse activity and provides regular updates to the Director of Operations
Creates monthly productivity reports including donations received, inventory processed, and other relevant operational data for board reports, grants, and internal review
Submits receipts and expense reports in accordance with Blooms financial policies
Ensures accurate recordkeeping of vehicle usage, maintenance needs, and transportation logs in conjunction with the Transportation Associate
Maintains organized documentation of warehouse procedures and safety protocols
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: This position is a full-time, salary position (40 hours per week) with occasional early morning hours and some weekend hours.
