Job Summary:
Aspen Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Dietary Manager to join our dynamic team in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our dietary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of our food service program, ensuring quality food options for our patients and residents.
Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and food service
Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure meal production meets quality and quantity standards
Develop and implement food service procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Supervise and train dietary staff, including cook, wait staff, and other support personnel
Conduct quality control assessments and make recommendations for process improvements
Maintain accurate records, including inventory management, menu planning, and food safety logs
Collaborate with the nutrition team to develop menus that meet patient and resident dietary needs
Maintain a safe and clean food environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting as a dietary manager or supervisor
Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to mentor and train staff
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Familiarity with food service software and technology
