Job Summary

We are seeking a loving, dedicated, and organized Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with infants, creating a safe and engaging classroom, and supporting the developmental milestones of our youngest learners.

The Lead Infant Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum, fostering positive relationships with families, and ensuring a high-quality early learning experience aligned with our center’s philosophy and licensing regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months).
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Observe and document each child’s progress and communicate regularly with families.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure consistency and quality of care.
  • Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety guidelines, and center policies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with parents and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Required: CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in infant care.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Genuine love for infants and commitment to their healthy development.
