Position: Patron Services Associate

Status: Part Time

Reports To: Patron Services Manager & Asst. Patron Services Manager

Schedule: Varies by event; shifts may range from 8 AM to 11 PM. Weekends, evenings, and holidays required as needed.

Hours: Up to 25 hours per week

Pay Rate: $17/hour

Orlando Shakespeare Theater is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Patron Services Associate to support our 38th season. This is a part-time position ideal for individuals passionate about live theater and providing top-tier service to patrons and guests.

This role includes a mix of box office and front-of-house responsibilities. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to work in a fast-paced, collaborative arts environment.

OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Box Office Duties:

%CF; Provide a welcoming and helpful environment for patrons, volunteers, staff, and

visitors

%CF; Disseminate event information across multiple platforms to patrons and staff

%CF; Process subscription and single ticket sales efficiently using Spektrix ticketing

software

%CF; Coordinate with various departments to address patron needs

%CF; Conduct data entry and management tasks related to box office functions

%CF; Manage voicemail and respond to inquiries via phone and email

%CF; Work with management and team to complete various projects

Front of House Duties:

%CF; Support morning student performances, matinee & evening performances on an

as needed basis

%CF; Assist groups & individuals with entering and exiting the theater

%CF; Coordinate with the Patron Services Manager, Asst. Patron Services Manager, and

education department regarding performance needs

%CF; Work closely with stage management and production team before, during, and

after performances regarding various start & end times and late patron seating

%CF; Address ADA needs before, during, and after performances

%CF; Accurately produce performance reports

%CF; Monitor volunteer activities and perform necessary tasks as assigned by the

volunteer coordinator

%CF; Professional phone etiquette

%CF; Exceptional verbal communication

%CF; Ability to properly record information and produce various reports

%CF; Ability to take direction and problem solve

%CF; Distribute Will Call tickets, reprint tickets, and assist guests as needed during

performances

%CF; Manage voicemail and respond to all inquiries over the phone and by email

%CF; Be familiar with the season, theaters, and overall operations

%CF; Experience in Spektrix or other box office/ticketing software (REQUIRED)

%CF; Experience using Volgistics or other volunteer management software (PREFERRED)

%CF; Be highly proficient in Google G-suite and Microsoft Office software

SCHEDULE:

%CF; Schedule varies based on event scheduling

%CF; Shifts range from 8 AM start time to 11 PM end time

%CF; Weekends, evenings, and holidays may be required

%CF; Performances for the upcoming season are scheduled August 2026 - May 2027

%CF; This position is anticipated to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours per week. Hours

are not guaranteed every week, and they will be assigned as needed
