Position DetailsResponsible for all job related paperworkThe ability to work long days (12 hours).Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasersConnect pipe pieces and seal joints, cement or glueCover pipes with earth or other materialsCut pipes to required lengthsDig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching toolsGrade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand toolsInstall and repair sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systemsLay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisorsTap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devicesAny other miscellaneous task/duties as assignedRequired Skills/AbilitiesValid driver's licenseWater Sewer Apprentice license preferred, however not requiredOSHA underground and excavation training preferred, however not requiredWillingness to understand and accept safety standardsAbility to listen to, understand, and follow directionsAbility to remain flexible as specific assignments changeAbility to work with a variety of personalities Willingness to work hard and be reliableMust maintain flexibility in the schedule during the busy seasonBenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision insurance with optional Health Savings Account (HSA)USAble Supplemental Insurances (Cancer, Short-term Disability, Accident and Life Insurance)Retirement plan with company match up to 3.5%Employer Paid Life Insurance
