Job Description
TherapySouth was founded in July 2006 by Steve Foster, PT, LAT. His vision was that TherapySouth would be a therapist-owned practice, specializing in "hands-on care, close to a patient's home or work". All of our clinics maintain a friendly atmosphere that helps patients feel at home in their surroundings. Having several locations allows patients to conveniently attend physical therapy two to three times per week to improve their daily functions. We know our patients' names when they walk in the door of our clinics!

Basic Functions: Responsible for ensuring that all employees are properly trained, licensed, and certified as mandated by state federal regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Verifies healthcare credentials – including background checks, contacting licensing boards, reviewing license applications, obtaining education information, and interviewing references.
- Reviews applications and resumes during the new hire process to ensure that applicants meet all licensing and credential requirements for the healthcare industry and for the specific position that is being applied for.
- Assists with assessing facility practices to ensure that the practice is operating within state and federal regulations.
- Maintains databases with necessary documentation including licensing.
- Researches, analyzes, and evaluates credentialing applications to ensure all relevant information has been submitted.
- Ensures credentialing applications are tracked and monitored for adherence to timelines.
- Monitors and documents credentialing efforts.
- Maintains a current copy of HPSMs credentialing policies and procedures, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, and that applications and reapplications are processed thoroughly and expediently.
- Recredentials providers according to policies and procedures.
- Maintains and creates enrollment for all payors in Clearinghouse system.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Recognize credentialing guidelines of various organizations.
- Understand auditing processes.
- Strong research skills.
- Understanding current healthcare laws and regulations.
