This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.

In this role, you will provide inspection support for electrical hardware to ensure compliance with engineering documentation, industry standards, and quality requirements. You will review shop planning, maintain proper documentation and traceability, generate first article inspection reports, and support quality workflows aligned with the Quality Management System and AS9100. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support new products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects electrical hardware to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Ensures materials are stored, handled, and tracked correctly according to requirements.
  • Creates and records manufacturing and inspection documentation.
  • Documents non‑conformances according to quality procedures.
  • Generates AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports when required.
  • Supports quality and regulatory audits of the Electrical Shop.
  • Initiates and supports corrective actions and related investigations.
  • Collaborates with design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams on new product and process development.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in inspection of soldering and/or wire harness manufacturing.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Previous certification in IPC‑610, IPC‑620, or J‑STD desirable.
  • A current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
