Job Description
A 198-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Cardiology/PCU unit in Farmington, NM. The hospital offers a broad range of services including a cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, childbirth center, and day surgery center, with PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditation.
The role. This RN position is based on a 24-bed Cardiology and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit caring for an adult to geriatric patient population. Nurses manage common diagnoses including STEMI, NonSTEMI, stroke, post-cath, and ETOH-related presentations. Patient ratios vary by acuity: IMC patients with active titrating drips are staffed at 1:3, while standard IMC assignments run 1:4 on days, and Med/Surg patients are assigned at 1:5–6. The unit utilizes standard cardiology monitoring equipment including telemetry and T-1s, IV pumps, and crash carts, with Cerner as the electronic health record system.
What we're looking for.
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- State RN licensure; candidates not currently holding New Mexico or Compact licensure must obtain prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiology or IMC experience required; 2 years preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Cardiology or IMC
- BLS required upon submission; all other required certifications can be obtained after hire
Schedule. Day shift, 0730–1900.
Compensation. $29.05 - $46.48/hr plus $2 sign-on bonus
