Consumer Relations Coordinator - Member Servs

The Consumer Relations Coordinator (CRC) is a customer friendly individual who is responsible for handling calls transferred by the Call Center to verify Managed Care eligibility/assignment, PCP changes and other duties related to Managed Care.

Reports to: Director of Managed Care & Enrollment

1. High school graduate with two years of experience in a community organization solving consumer problems. Medical Assistant Certificate desirable.

2. Certified Enrollment Certified (CEC) Certificate required.

3. Two years of experience as a Data Entry Operator.

4. Must have pleasant, patient oriented attitude and a professional appearance.

5. Prior insurance billing experience and/or experience in or working knowledge of a managed care environment.

6. Some knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, CPT codes, RVS codes preferable.

7. Ability to utilize a personal computer with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.

8. Willing and able to work a flexible and sometimes variable schedule.

9. Fluency in English (speaks, read and write).

10.Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write).

11.Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).

12.The Practice Management Information access level is 2.
