Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Clarion County, PA

About the Role

• We are seeking compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professionals to work with individuals experiencing intellectual disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while fostering independence and life skills in clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing appropriately for the weather, and preparing meals of their choice.
• Support clients in developing personal hygiene skills.
• Engage in recreational and sporting activities.
• Coordinate transportation for appointments and community outings.
• Support clients in developing vocational skills and preparing for potential employment.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing and dressing.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming, washing dishes, and tidying living spaces.
• Help plan client appointments and organize schedules.
• Encourage engagement in social networks and community activities.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid certification
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Clearance of background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
