Director of Food Services

Morris Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located in the Pelham Gardens section of the Bronx is seeking a Director of Food Services with previous experience working in a Long-Term Care Kosher Facility setting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee day to day operations of the dietary department and staff
• Staffing, scheduling and quality dietary services
• Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas
• Ensure employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service
• Knowledge of compliance regulations

Job Requirements:

• Ability to deal tactfully and respectfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors
• Strong knowledge of dietary practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in the long-term care facility
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the department
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dietary service areas
• Perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work with and supervise dietary staff
• 3 years minimum experience in long-term care setting

75k+ based on experience
