About the Role:
The Physician Internal Medicine - Part Time position is designed to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing illnesses while promoting preventive health measures to improve patient outcomes. The physician will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care. Emphasis is placed on maintaining up-to-date medical knowledge and applying evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality healthcare services. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance patient health and well-being through compassionate, efficient, and effective internal medicine care in a part-time capacity.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and evidence-based patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience in quality improvement or clinical research.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing to identify medical conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including medication management and lifestyle recommendations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, management strategies, and health maintenance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in internal medicine through continuing education.
