NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler to join our manufacturing team in Ashland City, Tennessee. In this role, you will safely move raw materials, fabricated components, and finished products throughout the facility to support daily production operations. This position is essential to maintaining production flow by ensuring materials are delivered to the right location at the right time.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while operating material handling equipment.
- Safely transport raw materials, steel, fabricated components, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (training and certification provided as required).
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and production areas.
- Verify material identification and quantities before transporting.
- Assist with staging materials for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse and production support duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or material handling is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other industrial equipment is preferred.
- Ability to safely read tape measures, labels, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking or production systems are a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and moving equipment.
- Comfortable working around forklifts, overhead cranes, and heavy industrial machinery.
