What We’re Looking For
USS Security Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Operations Assistant to support our centralized command operations. This role serves as the communication and coordination hub for multiple security sites, ensuring officers are supported in real time and operations run efficiently.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple systems simultaneously, and communicates clearly under pressure.
Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch & Communication
- Monitor and manage radio and phone communications with field officers
- Conduct routine check-ins and maintain consistent contact across all assigned sites
- Dispatch officers to incidents, service requests, and patrol assignments
- Escalate urgent issues to supervisors or emergency services when necessary
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control platforms
- Identify and report unusual or suspicious activity
- Receive incoming calls and accurately document incidents
- Enter detailed reports into digital reporting systems
- Assist with shift coordination and coverage adjustments
- Support supervisors with real-time operational needs
- Track officer activity and site coverage
- Maintain accurate logs and records of daily operations
- Maintain dispatch logs, incident reports, and communication records
- Ensure accuracy across reporting and timekeeping systems
- Assist in generating operational reports as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, web-based systems)
- High level of reliability and attention to detail
- Prior experience in dispatch, security, call center, or operations support
- Familiarity with radio communication systems
- Experience with incident reporting or workforce management systems
- Background in security or emergency response environments
Work Environment
- Primarily seated role in a command/dispatch center
- Monitoring multiple screens and systems simultaneously
- May require evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
