The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation, meal service, and maintaining cleanliness within the dietary department. This role is essential to ensuring residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs while creating a pleasant dining experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals according to diet orders and portion guidelines

• Deliver meal trays to residents and assist residents during dining when needed

• Set up and break down dining areas before and after meal service

• Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

• Label and store food properly following food safety standards

• Follow infection control and safety procedures

• Work collaboratively with dietary, nursing, and therapy staff to support resident needs

• Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents, families, and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous food service or healthcare experience is a plus but not required

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Must be dependable and punctual

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout shift

• Must comply with all facility health requirements and background checks

Pay: $12.72 - $15.69 per hour
