Job Description
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (OR) - Fort Bragg, California. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting August 31, 2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role offers a pay range of $2,250 to $2,397 per week. Shift: 5x8 evenings. Work setting: a critical access hospital. This assignment requires active licensure in the state of practice, BLS, and OR-specific credentials as described in the notes, plus EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or an assigned group, following the nursing process and established standards.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using clinical judgment.
- Collect relevant data, analyze assessment information, and develop a plan with prescribed interventions to achieve outcomes.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; provide learning opportunities and direct health information; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegate appropriately and coordinate tasks for the healthcare team; maintain thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice (California) or appropriate state authorization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Minimum of two years of recent OR nursing experience or equivalent acute care OR setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Ability to work evenings and participate in an on-call rotation
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
