We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working a 12-hour shift with a 2/3 rotating schedule to join our clinical team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of our behavioral health team, employees may be assigned to work with either the Geriatric Unit or the Adolescent Unit based on patient care needs and staffing requirements. Employees are expected to provide safe, compassionate, and therapeutic care while maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment.
Geriatric Patient Population
Employees assigned to the Geriatric Unit provide direct care and support to older adult patients experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or cognitive health conditions. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining patient safety, monitoring behaviors and mental status, assisting with therapeutic activities, documenting observations, and communicating changes in patient condition to the licensed nursing staff.
Adolescent Patient Population
Employees assigned to the Adolescent Unit provide direct care and support to adolescent patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health conditions. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and structured therapeutic environment, building appropriate therapeutic relationships, monitoring patient behaviors and safety, assisting with therapeutic groups and activities, encouraging healthy coping skills, documenting observations, and communicating changes in patient condition to the licensed nursing staff.
Employees may be required to work with either patient population based on operational needs and must demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality behavioral health care for all patients.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
- Experience working with geriatric psychiatric or behavioral health patients strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A current resume with complete work history required
